2014 Recruitment & Retention Conference Was a Huge Success
Thank you to all who attended the 11th Annual Recruitment & Retention Conference. We hope you enjoyed all that this year’s conference had to offer, from our exceptional speakers and workshops to the opportunity to meet other leaders and innovators in the trucking industry.
The second morning of the conference began with Gordon Klemp, CEO of National Transportation Institute, who shared with us how 2013 helped shape driver compensation for the future. Klemp gave us an intimate look at changes in driver pay practices that all carriers will need to consider to stay competitive in the industry. During the second general session of the day, Simon Anderson spoke about the challenges and opportunities that new technologies hold for the trucking industry in regards to driver recruitment, increased automation and advancements in manufacturing. Anderson, futurist, author and founder of Venture Foresight, LLC and Futur1st.com, offered much insight to how companies can benefit from looking ahead. Repeat workshop session options for day two of the conference included: “Recruiting & Operations Alignment: Getting the Driver Relationship Started in the Right Gear,” “How To Get Drivers and Keep Them - An Industry Panel Discussion,” “Independent Contractors and Owner Operators: Their Success Is Your Success,” and “Developing Effective Driver Finishing Programs.”
