The 13th annual Recruitment and Retention Conference hosted by ConversionU and Transport Topics is sold out. Over 350 attendees are registered for the event scheduled for February 10-12, 2016 at the Sheraton Music City Hotel in Nashville, Tenn. ConversionU is the training division for Conversion Interactive Agency.

“Recruiting and retaining drivers in today’s market is top-of-mind for carriers nationwide, and they are eager to hear from industry experts and professionals on tools, resources and strategy they can use to conquer the driver shortage challenge,” said Kelley Walkup, president and CEO of Conversion Interactive Agency. “We are excited about the speaker line-up and the content we’ll be delivering to the attendees at next week’s event.”

The 2016 Recruitment and Retention Conference schedule includes insight from transportation industry experts and those who know and understand how to build successful teams. Bob Costello, chief economist and senior vice president for the American Trucking Associations will open the event with his expertise on recruiting and retention industry trends and data. Attendees will also hear from Tim Kight, founder and president of Focus3, who has helped clients like Urban Meyer and the Ohio State University take teams and organizations to their highest potential. In addition, Terry Bowden, head coach and football analyst will share with attendees how to motivate their teams to recruit and retain successfully.

Other topics on the agenda for the 2016 conference include Structuring Your Recruiting Department for Success, a Driver Recruiting and Retention Panel where carriers will hear directly from drivers on what they want and expect from a carrier, and Winning Within the Driver Lead Funnel.

“The driver shortage continues to be a critical issue in our industry regardless of fleet size or segment, so exploring better ways to hire and retain the right drivers is key. Transport Topics is glad to be part of the conversation,” said Jeff Mason, executive vice president, Transport Topics.

Registration for the 2016 Recruitment and Retention Conference is now closed, but carriers and trucking industry professionals can stay tuned for upcoming information on the 2017 event.
