R&R 2015 Wraps Up Today
Thank you to everyone who attended the 12th Annual Recruiting & Retention Conference this year. We really enjoyed learning more about recruiting and retention strategies, innovations and methods from all of our outstanding speakers and workshops. It was also great to network with all of you who attended.
The second day of the conference started off this morning with a breakout session offering several repeat workshops choices. There were so many workshop options yesterday that we wanted to make sure attendees had the opportunity to get to as many as possible. Repeat workshops included: “Hiring Our Heroes: Techniques for Recruiting from the Military,” Improving Retention with Fleet Management Technology,” “Coaching Technology: Tools and Strategies for Attaining Retention Results,” and “You Have Driver Feedback…Now What?: Turning Data Into Actionable Steps.” After the breakout session, attendees had the opportunity to participate in small-group discussions catered to their interests and needs during our second general session. “Networking in the Round” allowed small groups of attendees to choose a topic every half hour and participate in a moderator-led discussion about each of the topics. In the last general session of the day, “Detention Time and Retention Woes: The Impact of Current Trends on Driver Engagement,” we heard from Rebecca Brewster, president and CEO of American Transportation Research Institute. Brewster shared the latest in research about the industry’s greatest issues, how they affect drivers and how carriers can plan for the future of the industry.
Our 12th Annual Recruiting & Retention Conference this year was a huge success and we couldn’t have done it without all of our outstanding speakers, panelists and moderators. We also want to take a moment to thank our many sponsors for their continued support. Our sponsors this year included DriverFACTS; Driver iQ; EBE, Inc.; HireRight, Inc.; JiggyJobs.com; PrePass; and Sirius XM Radio. We particularly want to thank Truckload Carriers Association for partnering with us to present this incredible conference. Thank you again to all of you who made this conference a huge success. We’re already looking forward to seeing you again next year!
